Carl is the President and Creative Director of art270. In 1980 and 1982 he earned his BA and MFA from Penn State University in Graphic Design with an emphasis on corporate communications. He spent ten years teaching as an assistant professor at Tyler School of Art, and established art270 with his wife Dianne in 1985. Carl has also taught a variety of art and design classes at Bucks County Community College and continues to teach graphic design history at Arcadia University. Carl has served as Vice President of the Philadelphia Chapter of The American Institute of Graphic Arts and continues to serve on several academic and marketing advisory boards for local organizations and businesses. Under Carl's direction art270 has won numerous awards and been published in a variety of international design publications including Print, Graphis, Novumgebrauchsgraphik and Graphic Design USA.
