personnel
Sandy Valentine, office manager and administrative assistant, came to art270 in 1991. She handles all the behind-the-scenes processes that make a small business functional, from payroll, accounts payable/receivable and tax payments, to office supplies, vendor contracts and employee birthday celebrations. If you were to come into our office, she would greet you with her perpetual smile. She has been married for “a very long time,” and has two wonderful sons, each married to a lovely girl, and so far has 4 grandchildren. Sandy has been a very serious Phillies fan even longer than she has been married. Now that her team is doing so well year after year, she wishes she still was offered free game tickets like she did when they weren’t so good!
reid smith
personnel
After testing the waters at Ohio Wesleyan University and Penn State, Reid graduated Cum Laude from Temple University with a degree in English in 1984. Reid is our production manager, proofreader and copy editor, as well as our technology officer. art270 uses Apple computers for the majority of our design work, and Reid acts as our software and hardware guru, keeping us on the cutting edge of the systems necessary to do today’s print and web design. Reid’s attention to detail and organizational skills make him perfect for doing our larger projects — books, magazines, event programs, etc. Recent clients include New Jersey Audubon, BNY Mellon, The Curtis Institute of Music, and the national Better Business Bureau. Reid is an avid gardener, and his home has been a popular stop on local garden tours for many years. Reid currently drives a 1982 Fiat Spider (the eleventh Fiat he has held title to), and can be found on the tennis court or golf course when not in the office. Reid is married to the love of his life, Bess, and has two daughters: Liza, 21, and Morgan, 19.
