so much goes on every day here at art270...
art270 news
Here are a few recent highlights.
• Dianne is now teaching not one but three different graphic design classes at Montgomery County Community College and Drexel University. Reid and Jamie have been guest lecturers and the buzz is that Philadelphia-area design students have never had a better teaching trio.
• The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program is keeping us busy and we're loving every minute of it. It's not every day that you get to work with great people working for a great cause with great artwork to illustrate their communications. Recent projects have included a new newsletter format, marketing materials, ads, and soon, an annual report.
• A new identity and accompanying brochures created for Astral Artists by Alexis and Jamie were recognized in American Graphic Design and Advertising 25, David E. Carter, 2009. The new identity and a brand-new website can be viewed at www.astralartists.org
• Who knew? Looks like all of the teasing I took as a Boy Scout, let alone an Eagle Scout, has finally paid off. Eastern National Parks has hired art270 to consult on and design a commemorative patch for the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. In 2010 Boy Scouts from all over the world will converge on Ft. A.P. Hill in Virginia for a once-in-a-lifetime jamboree, and Scouts completing a National Parks tour will each take home a momento designed by art270.
• One good turn deserves another. art270 has always been close to the non-profit arts and culture community but recently we've considered changing our tagline to “non-profits ’r us.” The non-profit world is a small world and it seems that somebody out there likes us. Recent new clients doing great things in the world include: Caring People Alliance, SCRUB, Pennsylvania Assisted Living Consumer Alliance, The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives and Soroptimist International. We're thrilled to be a part of the great work that they do.
